Break the Grip of Fear by Focusing on Your Clients

It can be really scary to “put yourself out there” for all the world to see. Launching a website or product or service often brings up the Stuart Smalley “I’m not good enough, smart enough and people won’t like me” fears.

If you find yourself paralyzed by these self-defeating thoughts, try this:

List all the benefits your clients will get by buying your stuff.

For example, if you are a weight loss coach, people who purchase your services:

Feel at home in their own body, perhaps for the first time in their life
Are not paralyzed by thinking of food all the time
Do not beat themselves up for eating a hot fudge sundae
Look at the reflection of their body in the mirror with love
Reflect a strong, confident body image to their children, which helps them have the same
Is proud to shake their tushies in good-looking jeans, no matter their size

When you start to realize how many great things happen to your clients by interacting with you, you can shift your thinking from:

Who am I to promote myself as a good coach?

to

Who am I NOT to promote myself as a good coach?

Your people need you!

Getting out of your own way will help a lot of people.

Go on, scoot.
